Real Men of God is the Sonrise Men’s Ministry designed to create healthy habits for Christian men that will provide a closer walk with Christ, and in doing so, impact our entire congregation, your family, our community, and our world. Real Men of God can and will be an impetus for revival among the men of our church and community as we dedicate ourselves to guarding the gates of our hearts, our minds, our families, our church and our nation against the satanic forces that are out to destroy us. Please join us in becoming a “Real Man of God” now! 2008 Men’s Leadership Series – “Power of a Godly Man” It's time to get involved; it is time to become a leader and a Godly man. This year’s theme is the “Power of a Godly Man”. Come and listen to very special speakers unfold Biblical truths about a man's life and inspire us to the goal of transformation to be more like Christ. This year we will have two mornings breakfast sessions and two evening dinner sessions, so join us for a hearty meal, praise and worship, a message directly from God and fellowship with other men. Breakfasts are held on Saturday mornings (8:15 – 10:30) and Dinners are held on Friday evenings (6:00 – 8:30). The cost for each function is a reasonable $10.00. The following is this year's schedule of breakfasts and dinners with topics and speakers:
Weekly Bible Classes Especially for Men These weekly Bible Classes are designed especially for men to equip each of you for personal godliness and global impact and to train the men of Sonrise to be disciples. The classes meet Monday thru Thursday evenings at 6:30 for teaching and fellowship with the goal of helping each of us to become a better man by developing the practices that Jesus taught. Monday Evenings: The Exemplary Husband Leader: Lee Lunsway Location: The Kindergarten Room Text: The Exemplary Husband by Stuart Scott God ordained marriage between man and woman for companionship, procreation, and to provide man with a suitable helper. However, God says much more in the Bible about husbands loving their wives than He says about wives submitting to their husbands. Join us for this study on how to be an exemplary husband. Thursday Evenings: Winning at Work and at Home Leaders: George Tockstein & James Towle Location: The Den Text: Winning at Work and at Home Winning at Work and Home is a 16-session study that focuses on the two areas that are central to a man’s life: his career and his family. This journey builds the walls of manhood by dealing with such topics as understanding women, marriage, sex, dating, conflict, money, parenting and the world of work.
